- a bow and
- a staff.
- He hits the sinners with iron rod and club.
- He sits on a buffalo (Yama is called mahiṣa vahana; mahiṣa means buffalo and vahana means vehicle).
- His body appears dreadful to sinners and radiant to virtuous.
